Project Steps

Strategy Development/Analysis

Detailed analysis of existing checkout processes with a special focus on seamless integration into the existing checkout system via the WOND interface.

Based on the gained insights, we defined the required UX concept, hardware and software concepts, and interfaces before creating an initial prototype for functionality and usability tests. Special attention was given to seamless and secure integration into the existing environment and user-friendliness.

Prototyping

Initial prototypes were tested, with particular focus on user-friendliness, scanner technology, and fast payment processing.

Implementation

Optimization of prototypes and further development of the software for full integration into the checkout system. Implementation of security mechanisms such as age verification.

Deployment/Training

Training of sales staff on operating and maintaining the systems as well as providing intuitive instructions for customers.

Result

By automating the checkout process, waiting times are reduced, and the shopping experience is improved. Further enhancements, such as bonus programs and digital receipts, are planned.
